About Lara James

Lara James (pronounced "Laura") is the founder of Lara James Estate Services, serving the Greater Sacramento Region.

Lara helps families with the practical side of a loss: the paperwork, the property, and the many details that follow.

Experience

Lara brings close to a decade of public service experience with the County of Placer's Public Guardian and Public Administrator programs. Her work there included estate administration and conservatorships, in close partnership with courts, banks, tax preparers, funeral homes, and county agencies.

That experience gives her a clear understanding of how estates move through each step, and how much families benefit from a patient, knowledgeable guide.

Education and training

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology from William Jessup University.

• California Professional Fiduciary licensing education, in progress (license expected in 2027)
